The Gunners' boss has expressed confidence that his squad can keep managing with injury setbacks following confirming that attacker Kai Havertz remains out for the coming weeks.

Prolonged Recovery for Havertz

Havertz has been sidelined since the summer after undergoing knee surgery. Originally slated to return at the start of this month, the manager stated the player faced a hurdle when increasing his recovery and was unable to move forward “the required stage.”

“We took lessons, and managed to assemble a team that is much more reliable and has greater depth,” commented Arteta.

Tactical Decisions for Midweek Fixture

This development leaves a tactical puzzle for the midweek fixture at the Emirates against Brentford. A decision is required between persisting with Mikel Merino, who got a goal playing out of position last weekend, or recalling Viktor Gyökeres, who made a return from a muscle injury off the bench. The manager conveyed his keenness to have him back. “The team is keen to have him. Truly, he is a footballer who, for me, I admire greatly for his contributions to the team, but his character, his nature. I see him suffer while sidelined.”
